PowerFilm's solar panels are designed for users who need lightweight and portable power for laptop, cell and satellite phones, GPS units and more – PowerFilm® Solar Chargers handle almost any charging need.
PowerFilm® is a developer and manufacturer of thin, flexible solar panels that come in a variety of sizes and configurations. PowerFilm® was founded in 1988 by Dr. Frank Jeffrey and Dr. Derrick Grimmer, both former 3M research physicists. PowerFilm® has developed products for military and remote power applications for over 20 years. TTI works directly with PowerFilm to distribute this product line in the Canadian market.
PowerFilm®'s solar panels are manufactured on a flexible, thin plastic substrate that is as thin as 1/1000th of an inch thick, producing solar panels that are much thinner and more lightweight, flexible and durable than rigid crystalline panels. The panels are made in a wide range of operating voltages and operating currents for a variety of applications.
Take the PowerFilm® solar panels camping, out for a ride on a boat, hiking or out to do field work. PowerFilm® replaces the need to take expensive batteries that just add weight to your outdoor excursion. Unlike other portable solar chargers, PowerFilm® chargers can be used immediately after being removed from the packaging.
